hope has been experimenting with the significance of her sensitivity to vibrations. she believes music has healing properties beyond what we have considered or explored academically, scientifically, spiritually, or medically. she theorizes that collecting the data of certain vibrations can be used to inform treatment plans & strategies toward healing from illnesses, diseases, imbalances, & sicknesses of the body, mind, & spirit both for the individual and for the collective. she has seen incredible results & finds great value in attuning to & identifying frequencies of the world around her by matching them, using harmonic theory, and following her intuition case by case as more reveals note by note in what has been a riveting exploration of observing mystery unfold. "Matricity" is the home through which she conducts this passion, nurtures her gifts, & practices as a "Matrician" by experimenting with other people & developing her ideas around music as medicine.
i am a globally influenced artist & an LA Music Award winning songwriter. i began songwriting on a swing-set at age 8 in my grandma's back yard. found myself singing a melody i'd never heard with words i'd never read and ran inside to show cousin Lee who had his guitar. when he magically knew how to play along to a song that i made up in that very moment, i knew i was experiencing for the first time what i would experience everyday for the rest of my life. i started piano lessons right away and a few years later, fell head over heels in love with the guitar whom i called my husband from day one. i played profusely, intensely, passionately, unstoppably. my appetite fully satiated while unquenchable. i've now written thousands of songs and earned my Bachelor’s in Music Composition/Technology studying at ORU and the Contemporary Music Center.
i won 4 indi songwriting contests, had over 40 songs licensed for TV/film/commercials, completed two state-wide DIY tours, performed thousands of times locally in LA, recorded & released music with multiple grammy-award winning producers including 2 full length albums, 2 EPs, & multiple singles. i've also licensed songs to other artists and have a published library of songs for syncing. i signed & released a single with Disney & Freeform in 2016 after being selected by Universal Studios to be the featured artist in their promotional campaign for the film, “SING.”

in 2001, my college guitar professor, Chris Brown had a full roster and asked me to start teaching his overflow. i started to work for multiple music studios and developed my own pedagogical approach and eventually founded my LLC in 2015, "hope hazy artist academy," and graduated to hope hazy, INC. when incorporating the company in 2021. i collaborate with fellow artists and provide training & various musical services including music production, weekly academy lessons, songwriting workshops, music healing events, and more.
